Podujatie ORCA CHILDREN CUP 2020 zrušené / Event ORCA CHILDREN CUP 2020 cancelled

Vážení športoví priatelia,

Dear sports friends, 

Na základe aktuálnej situácie, ohľadom preventívnych opatrení šírenia sa COVID-19 a obmedzovaniu počtu účastníkov hromadných podujatí  na Slovensku, dňa 20.8.2020 na svojom zasadnutí Rada Plaveckého klubu ORCA Bratislava rozhodla, že Plavecký klub ORCA Bratislava ruší 2. kolo podujatia ORCA CHILDREN CUP, ktoré sa malo konať v termíne 25. – 27.9.2020. 

Based on the updated current situation, regarding the preventive measures against spreading COVID-19 and restricting the number of participants of mass events in Slovakia, the Council of the Swimming Club ORCA Bratislava at its meeting on August 20th, 2020 made a decision that the Swimming Club ORCA Bratislava is cancelling 2nd round of the event ORCA CHILDREN CUP, which was supposed to be held from 25th to 27th September 2020. 

„Cieľom podujatia ORCA CHILDREN CUP má byť poskytnutie medzinárodnej možnosti zmerania si síl a získavania skúseností plavcov žiackych kategórii, čo by v prípade konania sa podujatia v mesiaci september a výhľadovo aj do konca roku 2020, by bolo v rozpore s obmedzením štartu plavcom zo zahraničia s ohľadom na zoznam menej rizikových krajín ako aj obmedzením štartu počtu plavcov s ohľadom na obmedzované počty účastníkov pri hromadných podujatiach.

“The aim of the event ORCA CHILDREN CUP should be providing the international possibilities to compare and measure the strengths and gain the experiences of swimmers in the junior categories, what would be in conflict and contradiction of restrictions concerning starting of swimmers from abroad considering the list of less risky countries and also restrictions in view of the number of swimmers starts regarding the limited numbers of participants at mass events if the event was held in the month of September and with plans ahead by the end of the year 2020 as well. 

Veríme, že ORCA CHILDREN CUP si nájde svoje miesto v termínovej listina aj v nasledujúcich rokoch a bude písať svoju úspešnú históriu, tak ako jeho veľký brat ORCA CUP. Vidíme sa v roku 2021.“ 

We believe that ORCA CHILDREN CUP will find its place in the list of events also in the following years and will soon write its successful history as its big brother ORCA CUP. See you all in 2021.“
