Podujatie ORCA CUP 2020 zrušené Event ORCA CUP 2020 cancelled

Vážení športoví priatelia,

Dear sports friends,

Na základe aktuálnej situácie, ohľadom šírenia sa  koronavírusu a zavádzania preventívnych opatrení na Slovensku, v Európe i vo svete, dňa 10.3.2020 na svojom zasadnutí Rada Plaveckého klubu ORCA Bratislava rozhodla, že Plavecký klub ORCA Bratislava prvýkrát v histórii ruší svoje podujatie ORCA CUP, ktoré sa malo konať v termíne 23. – 26.4.2020. 

On the grounds of the current situation, regarding the coronavirus spreading and taking the preventive and precautionary measures in Slovakia, in Europe and the world, the Board of the Swimming Club ORCA Bratislava decided at its meeting on 10th March 2020 that the Swimming Club ORCA Bratislava is cancelling its event ORCA CUP, which was supposed to be held from 23rd to 26th April 2020, for the first time in its history.

„Organizujeme najväčší medzinárodný plavecký míting na Slovensku, ktorý je každoročne aj kvalifikačným mítingov na OH či MS. Aj keby sme vylúčili divákov a rodinných príslušníkov športovcov, nedokážeme za súčasnej situácie zabezpečiť ochranu zdravia viac ako 1100 športovcov, športových odborníkov a dobrovoľníkov, ktorí by sa daného podujatia zúčastnili.“

“We commonly organize the largest international swimming meeting in Slovakia, which is every year also a qualifying meeting for the Olympic Games or the World Championship. Even if we exclude the audience, spectators and family members of athletes, under present conditions and in this situation we are not able to ensure the health protection of more than 1100 athletes, sports professionals, specialists and volunteers participating at this event.”
